Prof. Mahesh Prakash is Professor at the Department of Radiodiagnosis, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER, Chandigarh, India) with more than 20 years of teaching experience. He currently leads the MSK radiology fellowship program in his department.

He received his medical training from S.N. Medical College Agra and completed his radiology training at PGIMER in 2000. He has been visiting fellow of MSK radiology at many institutions in various countries.

He has played a vital role in the growth of MSK subspecialty in India and neighboring countries. He was the main force in founding the Musculoskeletal Society (MSS) of India, which offers teaching, conferences and workshops across the country. He was also founder Secretary and President of MSS in the past.

He received many awards at national and international levels, and has been honored in various countries for his immense contribution to MSK radiology. He has over 150 publications and book chapters to his credit, covering a wide range of special interests including sports injury, infection and nerve imaging. He serves as editorial board member and reviewer for more than 20 journals.

He is committee member of various reputed international scientific bodies including ISS, ESSR, ASMRM and AMS, and Coordinator of the ISS outreach program in Asia. In addition to his role as Education Committee Chair at AMS, he also hosts our popular webinar series, and organizes many other teaching programs in various countries for trainees and radiologists.
